Graeme Falconer

Graeme holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (B.Env.St) with a focus in Communications and minor in Film Studies from the University of Manitoba, and has formal training in Design and Interactive Media. He has built a foundation in environmental science that grounds him in the scientific and policy dimensions of climate change, adaptability and sustainability, while his training in communications, film and design equips him with the creative tools to translate complex climate issues into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

With a career that bridges journalism, broadcast media, and research-driven storytelling, he has led and contributed to major media projects across Canada, including documentary series, short films, and national broadcast initiatives. His practice integrates research, design and narrative inquiry while maintaining methodological rigour and ethical responsibility in storytelling.

He brings an interdisciplinary, systems-oriented approach to climate research and media practice that aligns with Aluu’taa’s commitment to knowledge exchange, cultural resilience and academic innovation. His work lies at the intersection of environmental science and creative expression, using the power of visual storytelling and thoughtful design to make climate solutions inspiring, accessible, urgent and achievable.
